In November 1959 the USAF selected the Titan II/Centaur as the launch vehicle for orbital Dyna-Soar missions. The Air Force canceled this series of flights on 16 October 1961 in favor of missions to be launched by the more powerful Titan IIIC, during which the Transtage would remain attached to the spacecraft to provide orbital maneuverability. On the last schedule before the cancellation, the second Titan II/Centaur unmanned orbital flight was probably set for August 1967, interpolating from multiple documents.
