Designation: Dyna-Soar T1 S(U)-6
Description: 6th Dyna-Soar Titan I unmanned suborbital

The Dyna-Soar program evolved through several stages during its five-year history from the award of the first contract, ultimately gaining the designation of X-20. In its initial form, the Dynamic Soaring glider was to be launched on suborbital flights using the Titan I launch vehicle. The date of the sixth unmanned test flight of the vehicle is inferred from the dates given fo the first unmanned flight and the first manned mission according to the 1 November 1959 abbreviated development plan. The flight did not appear on later program documents.

The program insignia shown above depicts the spacecraft on a Titan II.
