The 3KD variant of the Vostok spacecraft was to have been called "Vykhod" to distinguish it from the 3KV, which was called "Voskhod;" instead, the "Vykhod" name was dropped and both variants were called "Voskhod."
A planned all-female ten-day long-duration flight was to have included Solovyova conducting the first female space walk. The mission was canceled in the spring of 1966, after death of Chief Designer Sergej Korolyov, in order to concentrate on Soyuz and Lunar landing programs.
