Description: 1st Apollo 3-stage Saturn C-1 boilerplate CSM suborbital, full-scale reentry test

Handwritten in the margins of a letter dated 9 February 1961 regarding the SA-6 launch vehicle: "S-I, S-IV, 3rd stage dummy, full-scale reentry test." The launch date of August 1964 is interpolated from multiple documents. NASA announced the redesign of the Saturn C-1 as a two-stage launch vehicle on 1 June 1961.
