On 15 May 1961 General Electric's Missile and Space Vehicle Department (MSVD) delivered the report of a feasibility study under contract to NASA. MSVD's proposed Apollo program schedule included a Apollo 3-stage Saturn C-1 unmanned CSM high elliptical orbital flight in December 1964.
